There is no alternative to the NPP – Kufuor

There is no alternative to the NPP: Former President of Ghana, John Agyekum Kufuor has said that there is no alternative government that has performed better than the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government since the inception of the fourth republic.

Speaking in a recorded message at the event held at the University of Cape Coast campus, the former President and elder in the NPP said“There is no alternative to the NPP government that has discharged its work so well…Akufo-Addo and Bawumia over the last three years have done wonders,” the former president said.

Touting government’s achievements in the fight and handling of COVID-19 and other sectors of the economy, he said: “See how they have managed the COVID situation, see how planting for food and jobs is performing…they need another four years to continue the development of the country”.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the NPP, Freddie Blay has said that the NPP government has transformed the ailing economy of Ghana and will need four more years to ensure that such gains are consolidated and not destroyed.

“It is an indication of how ready the NPP was in 2016 and it is now and would be in the future tackling the economy, advancing good governance and development of our country for all of us,’’ he said at the event currently being held at the University of Cape Coast.
