Second Lady Samira Bawumia has offered full sponsorship to the 13-year-old girl who gained admission to KNUST

[dropcap]S[/dropcap]amira Bawumia, wife of Ghana’s Vice President, has offered to fully sponsor the education of 13-year-old Ruth Gyan-Darkwa, who gained admission into the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

Ruth Gyan-Darkwah is the youngest person to ever gain admission into KNUST.

Representing the Second Lady at a meeting with the Gyan-Darkwah family, was the Ashanti Regional chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Bernard Antwi Boasiako (a.k.a Chairman Wontumi).

According to him, the gesture by the Second Lady is to encourage other young adults in the country to pursue their studies and do better in school. According to Starr FM, Chairman Wontumi noted that the Second Lady will consider students who excel at their studies and offer them her support as well.

The NPP chairman also offered his support to 15-year-old Josephine Gyan-Darkwa, the older sister of Ruth who wishes to pursue a course in medicine in Germany.

Chairman Wontumi said that he was impressed with her results and would gladly help her achieve her dreams.
