SAD! A Military Man At The Flagstaff House Shot By An Armed Robber At Tema For…

Sergeant George Boakye with the Ghana Armed Forces attached to the Flagstaff House, was on Friday night shot to death by robbers who tried snatching his Toyota Landcruiser vehicle with registration number CR 1341-15 at Community 19 near the Accra Abattoir.

According to a police account, they had received earlier information that the said vehicle was involved in an accident at Community 19 Bridge.

But preliminary investigations after visiting the scene revealed that the vehicle was snatched from the owner at Community 19 near the Accra Abattoir area by armed robbers and in the process, he was shot several times and was rushed to the 37-Military hospital by good Samaritans where he died whiles receiving treatment.

It was the discovery of a Military ID card bearing service number 193294 Sergeant Boakye George of the Ghana Armed Forces currently attached to the office of the president that revealed his true identity.

The body has since been kept at the morgue of the 37 Military Hospital pending an autopsy.
