Grace Nortey, a Veteran Ghanaian actress, has contributed immensely to the Ghanaian movie industry will forever be remembered for that.

Auntie Grace’s role in the Ghanaian movies in the 90s was the most sought after as her acting was seen as being so real. She was known for either being a mean mother-in-law, diabolic family member, a cunning friend, or an unforgiving woman in most of the movies she featured in. In fact, because of how she used to act so real, some special roles were dedicated to her only.

She was an English-speaking actress and prefers to speak English even when the movie is in an Akan language. She used to act in movies of Miracle films and Harry Laud at the early stages of her acting career, and at the later stages of her acting, she got featured in Netflix’s 2015 Beast of No Nation which also featured Abraham Attah.

She also acted in several high-end movies including Sinking sand, Ties That Bind, P over D, Juju, My Own Mother, Escape to love, and My Sister’s Honor.

When celebrating her 80th birthday, she appealed to her collleagues in the industry to make it a routine in visiting her as she feel negleted .

She also appealed to Ghanains to support her with money to help her take care of the hospital bills.
