Remain Focused, Winning A Title Is Like Power; It Can Corrupt You – Rawlings Advises Dogbe

Former President John Rawlings has urged new World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Bantamweight champion, Isaac Dogboe not to allow his victory in clinching titles to corrupt him as in the view of the former President, winning titles is like winning political power, it has the potential to corrupt.

The former President who Isaac Dogbe has been appreciative of his support, even financially in previous bouts of his received the title from Dogbe’s team who called on him at his Ridge residence.

Mr Rawlings said there was the need for Dogboe to “equip himself with a new level of discipline and a higher level of spiritual focus if he is to successfully defend the title for as long as legend Azumah Nelson did.”
“Winning the title is like winning political power. It also has a way of corrupting you. The danger is you can adopt an easy attitude after the victory and lose it all,” he pointed out.
