President Nana Addo shook Accra in a terrific welcome of Ivorian president

President of Côte D’Ivoire, Alassane Ouattara, was welcomed in Ghana like the president he is by hundreds of Ghanaians and a cross-section of the Ivorian community in Ghana.

he president is currently on a two day visit to the country to explore avenues of investment and also deepen bilateral talks with president Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo.

We had released a projection into the crucial issues that both presidents would be discussing in the span of the 2 day visit.

he presidential visit by Alassane Ouattara comes in the wake of the unprecedented ITLOS ruling which has seen Ghana win its rights to the disputed maritime border between both countries which has dragged over the past 3 to 4 years.

Meanwhile, the entire welcome of the Ivorian president got somewhat sparked in controversy as classes were halted across the capital for some basic school pupils in the national capital, Accra, as they spent parts of Monday morning and afternoon lined up along principal streets to welcome the President of Cote d’Ivoire, Alassane Ouattara.

The pupils, holding Ghanaian and Ivorian flags, were waiting for a scheduled ceremonial procession involving- a development which has been described as an abuse of such children by political forces.
