[dropcap]K[/dropcap]weku Baako has called on President Nana Addo to be quick to dismiss the IGP if he refuses to get his officers to deal with people engaged in recent violence across the country.
His comment follows the recent clash between supporters of feuding NPP executives at the Karaga constituency in Northern region who vandalized party properties and later stormed the police station to free two suspects on Tuesday.
The violence started Monday, October 23, with an attack on the Youth Employment Coordinator who doubles as the constituency youth organizer, Mohamed Baba, over the appointment of some youth into the security service.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo yesterday directed the Inspector General of Police (IGP) David Asante Apeatu and all law enforcement agencies to deal with fomenters of violence without fear or favour and irrespective of their political affiliation.

Speaking on a news analysis program, the veteran journalist called on President Akufo Addo to remove any officer including the IGP if they refuse to the deal with the hooligans who go about destroying properties in the name of being sidelined by the incumbent government.
He also called on political party leaders to start dealing with supporters with the party constitution and code of conduct.
The National Organiser of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Adams also complained that the silence of President Nana Akufo-Addo, as well as the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) over party-related violence across the country, is disturbing.
“If truly the president is unhappy [about the vigilantism being perpetrated by NPP supporters] we should have been seeing some more action than we are seeing. I don’t believe that the president is unhappy”.
Citing 18 cases of pro-NPP vigilantism since the party won the 2016 elections, Mr Adams said the president has done little to ensure that the chaos perpetrated by NPP vigilante groups is stopped.
