PICTURES: Okyehene Escapes A Near Fatal Accident On Accra-Kumasi High Way

The Okyenhene, Osaagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin II this afternoon escaped death when his car crashed at Ankaase, a village near Osino on the main Accra Kumasi Highway in the Eastern Region.

All occupants of the car managed to escape unhurt.

The Okyenhene’s vehicle veered off the road into the bush to avoid colliding with an oncoming tipper truck.

The Okyenhene was returning from a national golf awards dinner ceremony at the Manhyia palace at around on Sunday Afternoon.

He had met with President Nana Akufo-Addo and the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and the Okyenhene on Saturday.

The cause of the accident is not yet known but Citi News checks confirmed that the driver of the truck has been arrested by the Okyenhene’s security.
