Ofori Amponsah Ready To Contest Asante-Akyem North Constituency Parliamentary Seat In 2020

[dropcap]H[/dropcap]ighlife star, Ofori Amponsah, has disclosed his intention to contest  as Member of Parliament in the 2020 election at Asante Akyem  North in the Ashanti  Region.

Speaking to Candy Man on the Akwaaba Show on Atinka FM Friday, the “Emmanuela”  hit maker said he loves politics and will therefore grab the opportunity to contest in the next general election.

The multiple VGMA award winner however, failed to mention the name of the political party he plans to contest for, saying Ghanaians will get to know when he finally makes the decision. “I have already settled on a political party but I will not reveal it now,” he said.

“I’m a politician… I really love politics. I know what’s going on because I follow a lot of things. I’m now going into full time politics and I’m not talking about the MUSIGA position. I’m going to parliament direct,” the highlife super star told Candy Man.

He stressed the point that he was not joking and that he was serious about contributing to the development of the country.

According to him, leadership is about common sense and notabout  the level of one’s education adding, “I have a lot of ideas which can help  develop the country” .
