NPP Footsoldiers Fight Abeiku Santana’s Ambassadorial Appointment

Several footsoldiers of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) have shared their displeasure over the government’s decision to appoint Despite Media’s Abeiku Aggrey Santana as Covid-19 Trust Fund ambassador announcing they are advising themselves over NPP support.

Several footsoldiers have taken to Twitter and Facebook to vent their spleen and express regret for even campaigning for the NPP and President Akufo-Addo.

Some of them said they will make sure NPP goes to the opposition because the party has taken their support and loyalty for granted.

Some have said until the appointment is revoked, they have ceased being members of the NPP and will neither campaign nor vote for NPP.

I present to you, the distinguished Board of Trustees of the COVID-19 Nat’l Fund who think none of the celebrities that openly campaigned for the NPP to win power in 2016 and 2020 qualifies to be Ambassador of the Fund. And that a known NDC person, Abeiku Santana who has never supported any initiative of the NPP government is worthy of this appointment

If it is indeed true that Abeiku Aggrey Santana has been appointed by NPP government under Nana Addo 2 then the party should prepare for 2032 elections because 2024 is a cool chop for the NDC. Abeiku used his media platforms to campaign vigorously for NDC and JDM in 2016. Likewise Randy Abbey. Some graduates without job worked tirelessly for NPP to win power and still jobless but NDC Footsoldiers are given appointments everyday. I think NPP government is OK with the 8-year term so no need for campaigns to break the chain.
