NAM1 displays gold bars in his vault after announcing the payment schedule to Menzgold customers

Nana Appiah Mensah on Wednesday, December 18, 2019, shared a photo of himself in a vault full of gold bars, with the caption: “ …we acknowledge receipt of same and I express my profound gratitude. May I assure you that, the final output today should give closure to the pending very challenging subject matter”.

NAM1 earlier asked customers to forward their views and opinions of Menzgold’s intended payment schedule and plan to the company’s offices.

Menzgold in November invited its customers to validate their documents. An estimated amount of GH¢200 million of depositors cash is believed to be held up at the collapsed gold dealership firm.

The company came on its knees in 2018 after the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) ordered it to suspend its operation with the public.

SEC opined that Menzgold did not have the proper license to trade in gold collectibles.
