Mahama brought Ghana’s economy to its knees – Kennedy Agyapong

Former President John Dramani Mahama did not only finished the meaty part of the Ghanaian economy, he ensured that the bone was broken and its marrow was equally depleted, that is how vociferous New Patriotic Party (NPP) firebrand, Kennedy Agyapong describes the state of affairs before Akufo-Addo took over.

According to the Assin Central lawmaker, the former National Democratic Congress (NDC) wreaked a lot of havoc to the Ghanaian economy which is why the current administration is struggling to put it back on a sound footing.

“The NPP did not understand the statement by John Mahama when he said that, we have eaten all the meat and left with bones. The consolidation of the banks by the current administration is a big plus because the situation at hand would have been deadly “, the lawmaker cum businessmen revealed in an interview he granted to an online radio station in Amsterdam.

According to Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, it was only after the NPP took over the helm of affairs of the country in 2017, the government got to know the realities of Ghana’s economy contrary to the picture painted by the previous government.

“We now got to know that it was not just the meat chewed, they ate the bones and the marrow in the bones as well”, the outspoken lawmaker added insisting Akufo-Addo must be hailed for his intervention in saving the economy from a complete collapse.
