LIVE STREAMING: ICGC’s first online church service after ban on social gathering

Pursuant to fulfilling the current embargo on social gatherings including churches and mosques meetings, many churches with the capacity have either taken an online or television broadcast approach to worship this morning.

Although not exactly a new phenomenon, this will be the first church service the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) will have with an empty auditorium.

Founder and leader of ICGC Pastor Mensa Otabil earlier admonished his congregants to adorn themselves as they would do on any other Sunday in preparation to join and watch the church service broadcast online.

Police have arrested some pastors and other men of God who have flouted the directive by government to curb the fast-spreading global pandemic in the country.

The number of confirmed cases in Ghana rose to 21 as at Saturday, March 21 with the first reported death case in the Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi.

Meanwhile, among other things the president has declared a national day of fasting and prayer on Wednesday, March 25.

He made the announcement during an address on Saturday night while updating the nation on additional measures in place to curb the spread of the Coronavirus.

He also noted that effective Sunday midnight, all Ghana’s borders will be closed to human traffic for 14 days.
