John Mahama refused to attend the 63rd Independence day celebration

  • John Dramani Mahama was nowhere to be found at the 63rd Independence day celebration at Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

  • The reason for his boycott is still unknown.

The former President of the Republic of Ghana John Dramani Mahama’s seat was vacant throughout the 63rd Independence celebration event which took place at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

The celebration which hosted the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago Keith Christopher Rowley as the special guest of honor, had thousands of people filling the event venue to its capacity.

It is still unclear whether the National Democratic Congress (NDC) deliberately boycotted the event because only a few of the minority cabal has been spotted at the event grounds.

In a photo sighted by Ghana News Punch, the seat reserved for the Ex-President was vacant throughout the event.
