Appiah Stadium, a staunch member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has warned that he “will throw a bomb” that can destabilize the country if the Ashanti Regional Women Organizer of the NDC, Gloria Huze continues to name him among persons in the party who are on the payroll of the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako.
Madam Gloria Huze in her press statement released earlier this week tagged Appiah Stadium, Joseph Yammin, and Hon, Afrifa Yamoah Ponkoh as “moles in the NDC’ who are doing the bidding of the NPP and taking money from Wontumi.
But Appiah Stadium who spoke in an interview with Kumasi-based Angel FM monitored by MyNewsGh.com said, “it is only a mad person who will have the thinking of the Women Organizer”, because his allegiance to ex-president John Mahama, who is the flagbearer of the NDC for the 2020 elections cannot be questioned.
He described as “childish” a recent pronouncement by former Municipal Chief Executive for Ejisu-Juaben, Hon. Yamoah Afrifa Ponkoh that some staunch members of the NDC are actually in the pocket of Wontumi and called on the regional executive body to call him answer if it really has teeth to bite.
The NDC’s regional executive body has, however, said the press statement by the women organizer and its contents are entirely her personal views and do not represent the position of the party.
Ashanti Regional Communications Officer, Nurudeen Abass who spoke with Angel FM in an interview warned members of the NDC to desist from making comments that go to glorify Wontumi but to focus on the ultimate goal of annexing political power in 2020.
