“We have a practical completion and we will be having a commission this Friday…we have dedicated the 21-bed ICU to the Bank of Ghana for the support they gave us – they were our largest donor,” Mr. Hosi indicated.

The facility, which has been completed within a space of two months, has an in-built level 2.5 laboratory, which will soon graduate to a level 3 laboratory like the one at Noguchi on full completion.

Mr. Hosi, who doubles as the Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors (CBOD), said the facility has been equipped with all kinds of digital technologies available in infectious disease centers around the world to enhance treatment of COVID-19 patients.

“It also has equipment in all the facilities every single bed has its digital vital sign monitors, patient monitors in the ICU and some highly intensive care units also have the ventilators,” he added.

Mr. Hosi urged all Ghanaians to embrace the project as a “Ghana” project and not politicize it.
