GES vacation schedules for Double Track Schools

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the SHS semester break for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Year Double Track SHS Students. All SHS Form 3 students will report on March 4th, 2020. Form 1 & 2 Green will also report on March 4th, 2020. Form 1&2 Gold, will, however, report on 12th May, 2020.

 

SHS Semester Break

Management of the Ghana Education Service wishes to inform staff, students, parents, and the general public that all Senior High Schools will go on a semester break from Friday, February 28th until Wednesday, March 4th, 2020.

This will mark the end of the semester for all students except for form 2 Gold.

Form2 Gold will resume on March 4th and will be in school until May 8th, 2020 to complete their first semester. There will be a short break and then resume on May 12th, 2020 to resume their second semester which will run straight uninterrupted.

All students are to resume on March 4th, 2020 except Form 1 Gold students who will begin their second semester on May 12th, 2020.

Dates for the second semester are as follows;

 

1. Form 3

4th March until they complete their WASSCE in June 2020.

 

2. Form 1&2 Green

4th March to 8th May 2020
2nd July to 28th August 2020

 

3. Form 1&2 Gold

12th May to 28th August 2020

 

Single Track Students who have been in school will also resume on March 4th, 2020. However, single track students will enjoy a 2-week break during Easter to allow teachers to rest and enjoy the same number of holidays as all SHS teachers.

The management wishes all staff and students a restful and safe break.
