Fatal Accident: 9 UEW students killed in a car crash at Asuboi near Suhum

At least 9 students identified to be students of the University of Education Winneba, have been confirmed dead in a fatal accident in Asuboi, near Suhum on the Accra-Kumasi Highway.

The accident according to the preliminary report of the Police involved a universe commercial bus and a stationary 40-footer-container loaded with wood. The report also suggests the accident is probably caused by the sleepy bus driver.

Emergency crew, including the Road Safety Management Service team, are at the scene assisting to clear the vehicle off the road to pave way for traffic flow, as shared by the Police Service on Facebook.

The injured are currently receiving treatment at the Suhum government hospital while the dead have been deposited at the morgue of the hospital.

The Police is therefore warning all motorists plying the highway to be cautious when approaching the said scene.
