BREAKING: DNA test confirms missing T’adi girls are DEAD

The DNA conducted on four bodies has confirmed they are those of the missing Takoradi girls according to the Acting Inspector General of Police, James Oppong-Boanuh.

More than 80 bones were examined to establish if the remains are those of the four girls which has turned out to be positive.

“The Ghana Police Service has, with regret, therefore informed the families that the remains are those of Ruth Abaka, Priscilla Blessing Bentum, Ruth Love Quayson, and Priscilla Kuranchie.

Investigations now establish that the girls were victims of a serial kidnapping and murdering syndicate that operated in the Takoradi area”, he said

“While for various reasons we were unsuccessful in obtaining and acting on accurate actionable intelligence, in good time, to enable us to rescue the girls, we believe that the arrest of the culprits has effectively thwarted the ability of this syndicate to have continued with further kidnappings and murders”, the Acting IGP added

Nineteen-year-old Ruth Abekah went missing at Diabene on July 2; Priscilla Blessing, 21 went missing at Kansaworodo on August 17, 2018, and Ruthlove Quayson, 18 on December 4, 2018, at Butumagyebu Junction.

Priscilla Mantebea Koranchie, 18, went missing on December 21, 2018, at Nkroful.

So far three persons have been arrested including Chief mastermind of the act, Samuel Udoetuk-Wills a Nigerian was jailed recently but is still facing other charges before a Sekondi High Court after he escaped from jail in December 2018 following his first arrest.

John Oji was the second to have been arrested and the last is Chika, who was alleged to have played a key role in the whole crime and arrived in Koforidua on July 29, 2019.
