Bono East to get a public university – Nana Akufo-Addo reveals

President Nana Akufo-Addo has revealed to the people of Bono East region that plans are far advanced to establish a public university in the region.

The President revealed this when he met with the Nkoranza Traditional Council during his working tour to the region on Monday 9 August 2021.

He said the University when established will focus on science and technology to help harness the agricultural potentials of the region.

He further revealed that the Regional Minister Hon. Kwasi Adu-Gyan is working on the accreditation for the yet-to-be established university in the region.

“The regional minister, Kwasi Adu Gyan has already engaged me on the move and I can assure you that, plans are advanced to meet the National Accreditation Board and the National Tertiary Commission on the way forward. I believe this will materialise before the end of my current tenure,” he said.
