Bawumia and Hon. Isaac Osei spotted together: Anxiety is growing among Ghanaians especially the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as to who will lead the party in the 2024 Presidential election. Some Grassroots Members have ticked the Vice President of the Republic, His Excellency Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to lead because according to them, he is the best choice for their party in 2024. They added that any attempt to change him can cause them to suffer defeat in the hands of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Others are also promoting Hon. Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, the Minister for Trade and Industry. They argued that there is a tradition in the NPP and by that culture, the Presidency has gotten to the turn of Alan as President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo ends his term in 2024. We are not yet in 2024 but this argument is still ongoing in the NPP and also among Ghanaians.
The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia was today, Sunday, 4th April, 2021, captured at Holy Trinity Cathedral of the Anglican Diocese of Accra for service. As Christians across the Globe commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ today, he together with some officials from government and the New Patriotic Party joined the clergy and the congregants.
But in all his moments in the Church auditorium and outside the Church premises, Hon. Isaac Osei seems to be closer to him than all the other NPP officials. This has suggested to some Ghanaians that, Hon. Isaac Osei might be the right Running Mate for Dr. Bawumia if he wins the primaries to become the Flagbearer for the NPP in 2024. Hon. Isaac Osei is the Former Member of the Parliament of Subin Constituency in the Ashanti Region.
He is also the former Managing Director of Tema Oil Refinery and Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Cocoa Board and one time Ghana High Commissioner to the United Kingdom. Check out some comments from some Ghanaians:
