All NDC Members and Sympathizers Must Fast from 6:00am to 6:00pm on January 6 – Prophet Owusu-Bempah

Rev. Owusu-Bempah Calls for Nationwide Fast Ahead of Mahama’s Inauguration

Renowned preacher and leader of the Glorious Word Power Ministries International, Rev. Isaac Owusu-Bempah, has called on members and supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to embark on a nationwide fast on January 6, 2025, ahead of President-elect John Dramani Mahama’s inauguration.

Speaking during the 31st December Watchnight Service at his church, Rev. Owusu-Bempah emphasized the spiritual importance of the fast, urging NDC members and sympathizers to observe it diligently from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. He cautioned that disregarding his directive could have dire spiritual consequences.

“I am delivering a divine message to the NDC and all Ghanaians who support the President-elect, John Mahama. On January 6, 2025, all members and sympathizers must fast from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. This is not a suggestion but a prophetic instruction. Those who love Ghana and wish to see peace and success for the incoming administration must comply. I will not explain further, but this directive comes directly from God,” he declared.

Rev. Owusu-Bempah specifically called on key NDC leaders, including Asiedu Nketia, Julius Debrah, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, and Sammy Gyamfi, to ensure the fasting directive is heeded across the party.

A Prophetic Warning

The outspoken preacher stressed the gravity of his message, reminding his audience of his spiritual authority and past prophecies.

“I speak as a servant of God, and I do not take these words lightly. Before the election, I prophesied the NPP would suffer a devastating defeat if they ignored my warnings. That prophecy came to pass. Now, I am asking for this fast to counter any spiritual attacks against the incoming government. Ignore this at your peril,” he warned.

He added that his church was among the first to foresee and declare John Mahama’s victory in the December 2024 elections, which saw the President-elect secure 56.55% of the vote against the incumbent Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the NPP.

Call for Unity and Spiritual Intervention

Rev. Owusu-Bempah also extended his call to his congregation and intercessors nationwide, asking them to participate in the fast to protect the incoming administration from spiritual harm.

“Every intercessor must stand in the gap on January 6. Through this fast, we will neutralize any plans of the enemy. The peace and prosperity of our nation depend on it,” he said.

Mahama’s Swearing-In Ceremony

President-elect John Dramani Mahama, who secured a decisive victory in the December 2024 general elections, is set to be inaugurated on January 7, 2025. His victory has been celebrated as a return to leadership for the NDC, who gained a clear majority in Parliament after unseating several NPP incumbents.

As Ghanaians prepare for the transition of power, Rev. Owusu-Bempah’s call for a nationwide fast adds a spiritual dimension to the unfolding political events, underscoring the preacher’s influence in Ghana’s socio-political landscape.
